STAP5 - Social Sniff & Train

Service Description

This sessions location: Riverbank Long Stay, Bideford - No parking charges after 6pm. Do you find it hard to get motivated to train away from class? Do you want to meet up with Clare, Sooz other DREAMS students in public places to train with your dog? The idea behind these Social Sniff & Train meet ups is to work with your dog amongst friends, in the real world. Whether you're working on exercises from class or any other training activities, all you need to do is come armed with a plan. We can help you with that beforehand if you're not sure, but please don’t all wait to ask us till the night before though 🤣. These are not structured lessons. We expect participants to come and get on with whatever they have planned in advance. This could be exercises from class or any other activities you’d like to do. Where possible, we will lay some hides for those who would like to practice scentwork. Both Sooz and Clare will be there, also working with their own dogs and will be available to ask for help and advice. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲? Most sessions will be held in public spaces such as car parks, industrial estates, quiets parks, providing a relatively safe and controlled environment for training. Many of these locations offer opportunities for a search and space to train safely without off-lead dogs. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. This ensures we know everyone attending and that we all share the same ethos of respectful and considerate dog guardianship. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻? Sessions will be held on the last Tuesday of every month from 6:30 PM. They may be an hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, or anywhere in between. You may want to come for a bit, or you may want to stick it out till the bitter end and be the last to leave the party. Ready to join the fun?
